Coach unveiled its Fall 2024 collection in a stunning runway show hosted at The James B. Duke House, marking the latest chapter in Creative Director Stuart Vevers’ reimagining of the brand’s heritage through a contemporary lens. Rooted in the spirit of self-expression and authenticity, the collection explored the intersection of classic American style with youthful rebellion, featuring distressed leather, denim, and cotton garments that celebrate the beauty of imperfection and storytelling. The outerwear selection showcased iconic pieces like trench coats and leather jackets, alongside innovative reinterpretations of cardigan jackets inspired by workwear aesthetics.
Continuing its commitment to sustainability and circular craft, Coach introduced pieces crafted from second-hand materials, including denim and shearling, patchworked into new designs that breathe new life into pre-loved materials. Vevers’ vision for Fall 2024 also emphasized the brand’s New York roots, with the introduction of the New York collection featuring playful iterations of legacy silhouettes adorned with charms inspired by iconic city landmarks. The presentation at The James B. Duke House embodied the romantic allure of New York, juxtaposing archival-inspired décor with the raw energy of street-casted models.
“My vision for Fall was to explore the archetypes of codes of luxury, recontextualized through the progressive spirit of New York today.” said Vevers. The show celebrated love-worn textures and repurposed materials, reflecting the city’s dynamic essence and the evolving definition of heritage. Attendees were immersed in the Coach Club of New York City experience, complete with ID cards and a soundtrack featuring reinterpretations of “Moon River” by music director Fabrizio Moretti of The Strokes. The collection, including the iconic Brooklyn bag and ready-to-wear pieces, is now available for purchase online and at select Coach stores, offering a tangible connection to Vevers’ vision of contemporary luxury and urban romance.
