Hilary Duff Reveals She Has COVID-19 Days After Announcing She’s Pregnant With Baby No. 4

Hilary Duff just hit a bump in the road midway through her pregnancy. Just days after announcing that she and Matthew Koma are expecting, the Lizzie McGuire star has now shared that both she and her husband have contracted COVID-19.
“We have Covid and our kids don’t so now we wear masks again,” she wrote on her Instagram Story, sharing a video of her and Koma chilling in bed with their masks.
Duff’s Thursday (Dec. 14) post comes just two days after the actress-singer announced that she’s pregnant with her fourth child, and her third with Koma. The pair already shares 2-year-old daughter Mae and 4-year-old daughter Banks, while Duff and ex-husband Mike Comrie share 11-year-old Luca.
The How I Met Your Father alum broke the news by sharing her family’s 2023 Christmas card, which reads: “So much for silent nights. Love the Duff, Bair, Comrie Crew.” (Koma’s real last name is Bair.)
The front of the card shows Duff resting a hand on her baby bump, while the back features more adorable snaps of her kids plus the message, “Buckle up Buttercups, we’re adding one more to this crazy bunch!” She captioned the post, “Surprise Surprise!”
Duff’s family expansion doesn’t come as too much of a surprise following her November interview with Shape, in which she said parenting was “f–king hard” but “endlessly rewarding.” She also noted that she’s in her “family-making phase.” The star said at the time, “I built this and I wanted this and so I have to be here to enjoy the joyful and the painful and everything in between.”
