Nick Cannon’s Daughter Monroe Has a Love of Cars, Just Like Her Dad

Nick Cannon‘s daughter Monroe has something in common with her father: a burgeoning love of cars.
“She’s about to be a teenager, so she’s already looking to see what vehicle she can call her own,” shares Cannon of his 12-year-old twin child, whose mom is Mariah Carey. Host of the new Tubi series Nick Cannon’s Big Drive, Cannon tells EBONY, “She just asked me which car she could have and which one she wanted to drive. You know, she’s always had an affinity for my NCredible Jeep, so we might see her pushing one of those pretty soon.”
Cannon’s love for cars started early. “Probably when I was about 8 years old, riding shotgun in some of the coolest vehicles in the neighborhood or standing on the corner and watching old school Cadillacs and Impalas drive by Dayton’s big giant speakers blaring out some of the hottest rap songs at a time.”
As a teen, he began to work on different vehicles. “I was doing some really cool things, taking broken down cars and learning how to make them work. One of my first jobs to get me to Hollywood was working in an auto mechanic shop, learning everything from changing oil to fixing brakes.”
On the new series, Cannon zips around Hollywood with celebrity pals like Snoop Dogg, Rita Ora and heavyweight champion legend Mike Tyson. “It’s about having the drive, the dream, and the motivation to live a lifestyle we all aspire to. So it’s a glimpse into car culture, but at the same time, it’s a glimpse into your favorite entertainers’ lives and aspects that you may not normally get to see.”
