Rich Auntie Getaway: A Space Mansion, Top Models and That ‘Groot’ Life

Written by on April 1, 2024

A mansion for four? That’s how Rich Auntie rolls. In tow with a few other gals, including America’s Next Top Model season four winner Naima Mora, it was a whirlwind weekend inside Morlando Space Mansion, a premiere Jeeves Florida Resort Rentals property, for a pampered stay complete with all the spa-ing, chef-ing, and Disney-ing Rich Auntie deserves.

The Accommodations

Located in Kissimmee, Florida, our magnificent three-story, 16,000-square-foot vacation home was serving ultimate getaway realness.

From modern coastal decor to its waterfall pool oasis, this opulent residence offered abundant amenities to ensure an unforgettable stay.

With 12 bedrooms and 14 full baths (Rich Auntie took up two alone!), a chef and hidden catering kitchen, game and theater rooms, a two-lane bowling alley and its upcoming multistory children’s rocket-theme suite that can hold up to 18 kids, it would be easy to be there for the family reunion and still feel like you’ve got all the space you need. Rich Auntie doesn’t have to cook for the masses either; a private chef can be hired for the festivities.

The Perks

Ette Spa

Rich Auntie stayed busy outside the mansion, too. First, a pampering massage at Spa at the Ette, a luxury hotel with Middle Eastern flair. Then, a visit to the EPCOT Center, the part of Walt Disney World where grown folk libations are allowed. I got my margarita on at La Hacienda de San Angel alongside authentic Mexican dishes.

EPCOT’s got rides too, based on your favorite Disney and Marvel movies and series. A word of advice, double up the bobby pins if you plan to ride Guardians of Galaxy: Cosmic Ride. It will whip your hair back and forth—and possibly off! You can see your favorite Disney characters in bloom as part of EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival through May 27, 2024.

The Legacy

Kissimmee boasts a proud Black heritage, most notably St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, located at 400 E. Columbia Avenue. Serving its congregation since 1881, this place of worship will receive a historical marker this year to commemorate its nearly 150-year history and importance to Kissimmee’s African American community.

Commissioner Angela Eady is leading the charge to open more Black-owned businesses in downtown Kissimmee. This past Black History Month, Eady and Kissimmee Main Street hosted a Black Business Roundtable, an opportunity for small business owners to connect with leaders, entrepreneurs, and community advocates to uncover business resources and engage in talks on economic growth.

Lush Disney gardens, rich cultural heritage and a palace for the family cookout? Rich Auntie approves!
