A new Wicked trailer has been released, and it’s everything Wicked fans could hope for in the untold story of the witches of Oz.
Tony winner Cynthia Erivo (Harriet, Broadway’s The Color Purple) stars as Elphaba, the young woman who has been ridiculed all her life because of her unusual green skin but learns of her unmatched powers while attending Shiz University. Her passion and morals lead her on a path that defies traditional notions, leading many to believe she is, indeed, wicked.
The rest of the class includes Ariana Grande as Glinda, Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh as Shiz University’s headmistress Madame Morrible, Bridgerton‘s Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero and Jeff Goldblum as the legendary Wizard of Oz.
Wicked, Part One is in theaters on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024.
