The Wrap-Up! ‘Power’ Universe 10th Anniversary Premiere, Mama’s Den First Live Podcast and More

Mary J. Blige, the cast of STARZ’s Power Book II: Ghost and more helped creator Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson celebrate Ghost‘s fourth and final season and Power Universe’s 10-year anniversary at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. After the screening of the explosive first episode of of the finale season of Power Book II: Ghost—premiering June 7, 2024—50 Cent and VIP guests danced the night away inside TAO Downtown.
Actress Gloria Reuben attended the Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH), in partnership with The Renaissance Harlem Hotel Ballroom’s fourth annual benefit event, “Hold ‘Em In Harlem.” The event commemorates 100 years of the Harlem Renaissance and 25 years of CTH while paying tribute to the esteemed legacy of longtime trustee, the late Andre Braugher. Other special celebrity guests included: actor Kevin “Dotcom” Brown, award-winning actress Lorraine Toussant, restaurateur Alexander Smalls and more.
While the spirit of competition filled the air, there wasn’t any actual gambling. Attendees purchased tables or tickets and made direct contributions to The Classical Theatre of Harlem, supporting its mission to enrich the cultural landscape through dynamic theatrical productions and community engagement initiatives.
The hosts of Black Love’s The Mama’s Den podcast: Codie Elaine Oliver, Melanie Fiona, Ashley Chea and Felicia La Tour, had their first live taping of their podcast for an intimate audience at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California. They had a raw and authentic conversation about building a “sistahood” and how crucial it can be to helping mothers raise their children, especially when experiencing single motherhood or co-parenting.
