These 10 Artists Have Hits and A Tiny Desk Performance Could Showcase That

Written by on January 16, 2024

The Tiny Desk Concerts series is an intimate and unique music performance platform created by NPR Music. Filmed in the nation’s capital, artists from various genres showcase their talents by performing live at the desk of All Songs Considered host Bob Boilen.

The series has gained popularity for its stripped-down acoustic settings, providing a raw and personal experience for both musicians and viewers. Since its inception in 2008, Tiny Desk Concerts have featured a diverse array of artists, offering an eclectic mix of musical styles and fostering a connection between artists and their audiences.

Over the past years, and especially in 2023, Tiny Desk prominently featured numerous Black artists, particularly during Black History Month and Black Music Month. Juvenile’s Tiny Desk performance brought a viral tweet to life, transporting us to NOla with his classic hits. Charlie Wilson showcased his catalog letting us know why he is outstanding; Tank told us please don’t go, but emphasized his formidable pen game and Babyface underscored his influence on iconic artists. Adam Blackstone highlighted the significance of instruments in a live performance, leaving an indelible mark on the Tiny Desk stage. These are just a few of the artists Tiny Desk blessed their audiences with last year.

Now in 2024, we eagerly anticipate witnessing more artists take the Tiny Desk stage, delivering soulful renditions of our favorite songs and bringing us nostalgic memories.

Here’s EBONY list of artists we would like to grace the Tiny Desk Concert series this year:
