Details On Porsha’s Win Against Simon
Us Weekly reports that on (Sept. 12), a Fulton County, Georgia, court upheld the prenuptial agreement between Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia. The court reportedly declared it “empirically fair” after Guobadia challenged its validity.
Court documents obtained by Us Weekly show the prenup was designed to prevent expensive, contested litigation and intrusive discovery during a divorce.
Simon argues, per PEOPLE, that Porsha’s return to reality television voids the prenup due to nondisclosure.
The court rejected Guobadia’s claims that Williams had agreed to give up her career and be a stay-at-home mom and wife during their marriage.
According to PEOPLE, the court’s ruling states that it finds the:
“Prenuptial Agreement at issue in this case was negotiated by the parties with very competent lawyers over a year length of time, and included the exchange of financial disclosures, such that the issues of fraud, mistake, misrepresentation, and duress are clearly addressed in multiple provisions of the Prenuptial Agreement.”
The ruling continues, “Essentially, the crux of Husband’s argument could have been explicitly contained within the four corners of the parties’ Prenuptial Agreement, and it was not.”
PEOPLE shared that this ruling marks a significant victory for Porsha, moving her closer to finalizing her divorce. Once the court upholds the couple’s prenuptial agreement, Simon will be responsible for covering her legal fees.

The drama for Porsha and Simon started when she filed for divorce in February, just 15 months into their marriage.
Per Us Weekly, one week before Porsha filed for divorce, Bravo revealed she would join season 16 of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ after a two-year hiatus. Porsha had previously been a cast member from seasons 5 through 13.
As TSR previously reported, Porsha requested permission to film in their shared mansion and filed an emergency order on May 20. She argued that filming her time at home is crucial for sustaining her income and employment and claimed that Guobadia has no rational basis for blocking her from filming at their residence.
Porsha explained that she thought Simon was trying to block her from revealing private details about him during filming. She stated she would avoid filming in areas that are “personal” to her estranged husband.
Before Porsha made her request, Simon reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter to the production company of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ in March. Page Six reported that Simon asked the company to stop filming at his Georgia mansion and claimed he owns the mansion outright.
